What You’ll Learn
Join us for a comprehensive update on all the critical tax developments now in effect. Our seminar will focus on the sweeping H.R. 1 legislation, which officially became law on July 4, 2025, making permanent many Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) provisions while delivering significant new tax rules:
- Permanent reinstatement of TCJA individual rates and higher standard deductions with inflation adjustments
- New federal deductions for eligible tips and overtime pay, capped annually and phased out by income
- Auto loan interest deduction up to $10,000 for new U.S.-assembled vehicles, aimed at middle-income taxpayers
- Expanded Child Tax Credit (up to $2,500 temporarily, then scaled down), and senior-specific deductions up to $6,000
- Elevated SALT deduction cap increased to $40,000 for qualified taxpayers (under $500,000 income)
- Estate & gift tax exemption permanently raised to $15 million per person ($30M for couples), indexed for inflation beginning in 2026 National Law Review
In addition, this seminar will cover the latest Tax Court decisions, IRS rulings, and Revenue Procedures—helping you translate complex changes into practical advice. Our expert presenters will unpack how these laws affect client planning, payroll processes, and compliance strategies.
Our instructors are joined by experts from the State of Michigan and the IRS who will discuss the latest and most relevant topics including this year’s changes in tax codes and legislation and potential tax plans. There will be time to ask questions that relate specifically to your clients and practices.
